Applications for the Colombian Government Scholarship Program are currently open for the 2024-2025 academic year. This program is aimed at foreigners who want to obtain a Master's degree, Professional Master's degree (specialization), Doctorate or Spanish language course in Colombia. The call for applications is open until June 9, 2024.

Financing and features of the Colombian government grant
- Colombia Government Scholarship offers the following benefits:
- Spanish language course for candidates from non-Spanish speaking countries of up to 6 months.
- Covering all registration fees.
- A monthly allowance equivalent to three minimum salaries ($232 USD).
- Courtesy “V” (visitor) visa fee.
- A one-time installation allowance of US$129 at the beginning of the academic program.
- Financial support amounting to 64 US dollars is allocated to cover the costs of issuing an ID card for foreigners.
- An annual allowance of US$129 for the purchase of books and school materials.
- Medical and hospital care in Colombia, including repatriation in the event of disability or death.
Duration of study in the Colombian scholarship
Colombian scholarships have a maximum duration according to the following method:
- Spanish language course: up to 6 months
- Specialist: up to 18 months (3 semesters)
- Master: up to 24 months (4 semesters)
- Doctorate: up to 48 months (8 semesters)
Eligibility and admission criteria
Before applying for the Colombian Government Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Must have a professional, university, or bachelor’s degree in any field of study.
- You must have a cumulative general GPA equivalent to at least 4.0 on the Colombian scale (14/20 on the French scale).
- Be a foreign national. In the case of dual citizenship, not obtaining Colombian citizenship.
- Not to reside or reside during the last six months before applying for the scholarship in Colombian territory.
- They do not have any marital or de facto relationships in Colombia.
- He must not be more than 50 years old.
- Not be a beneficiary of a scholarship from the Colombian government.
- He must be in good physical and mental health, with a doctor’s certificate.
